Turnils Location

Turnils is founded and produced slat for Venetian Blinds for the Scandinavian market.

Turnils goes international and exports to two customers in Oslo, Norway.

Turnils is acquired by Hunter Douglas and expands by acquiring three additional production facilities and opening six new sales offices around the world.

Turnils North America is established with a new office building and distribution center located in Atlanta, GA.

Turnils Canada opened as part of Turnils Sweden.

Cord and Ladder production begins at the Nibrol manufacturing site in Lancaster, SC.

Turnils acquires International Industries, a leading supplier of components to the North American Industry and to fabricators worldwide. Hunter Douglas acquires Comfortex and Turnils becomes a wholesale distributor for major Comfortex product categories, which greatly expands the Turnils product offering.

Rapid growth requires a larger facility, and the company moves to Suwanee, GA. Throughout the decade, Turnils expands its product offering to meet the evolving needs of the North American market. The Turnils product selection grows to include Honeycomb, Sheer, Wood, Faux Wood, Woven Woods, Roller & Roman Shades and more.

After the acquisition of Sani Sweden, Sani USA is established to offer fabrication equipment, parts and service to the North American market. Also, Turnils North America launches the Kensington brand, which offers a broad array of products, sampling, collateral material, advertising and business support for the independent fabricator.

Turnils acquires Vinylbilt, the leading shutter program for the independent fabricator. Vinylbilt would later become Eclipse™ Shutters and launch a new campaign to introduce the brand to fabricators, dealers and consumers. Eclipse continues to expand its product offering with new colours and styles of shutters.

Turnils Latin America integrates with Turnils North America.

Turnils Canada integrates with Turnils North America.
